In 1963 L'Ordre Mondial des Gourmets Dégustateurs was organized to honor wines and crafted beverages. The membership of L'Ordre is comprised of Chaîne members who are professionally involved in the wine and spirit industry or are amateur connoisseurs with special knowledge or interest in wine and crafted beverages, and who are dedicated to promoting the education and enjoyment of them as a vital part of the dining experience.
